Named after Archangel Metatron, Metatron's cube provides a focus point for meditation through balance, flow of energy and connection to the divine and spiritual. But what is the meaning of all this and what does this symbol represent? Living in a seemingly chaotic world sacred geometry is the order that is everywhere, from flowers and beehives to the structure of our DNA and the very creation of the cosmos. It is the synchronicity that is in everything; nature, art, music, maths, science and our tangible world.
Without having a maths class, Metatron's cube contains five Platonic solids, coined by Plato back in the day, which are the building blocks of all matter. These Platonic solids are hidden within Metatron's cube and symbolise all the sacred geometric patterns in our universe. Metatron's cube is a mixture of the Feminine (the circles) and the Masculine (straight lines). In sacred geometry the thirteen circles symbolise the Fruit of Life and when connected to the centre of all of these circles you get the five Platonic solids.
Throughout history Metatron's cube has been used for meditation, the balance within being a focus point for your meditation. By meditating on its patterns it can evoke an inner knowing of the Divine and help with spiritual development. Sacred geometry has been shown to give people meaning in life through the spiritual symbolism within it and Metatron's cube encompasses beautifully all of these principles and synchronicities.
Many of our designs encompass sacred geometry and Metatron's cube. Check out some of our pieces below.
